dont approach until you sound like you already know them. build full profile first - family, work history, routine if possible. people break when they think you have more then you do.
call close faster. email give time to think. if pretext is tight and voice is good, call is cleaner. prepare script, know cover perfect, its manageable.
wait. if you push you spook them. one week then try different channel or different pretext. sometimes they go quiet becouse you hit close. sometimes just timing. dont assume its burned.
voter registration work in many state. also charity donation disclosure - some exec have home adress on 990 filing. also whitepages still has alot if you know how to search
good. dont move fast. minimum one week rapport before you ask anything. you want him coming to you. keep cover clean, dont layer pretext - one story, consistent.
